Abattoir Regulations - In an aim to improve animal welfare聽standards, CCTV has been made mandatory in all areas of slaughterhouses in Scotland. The new measures follow England, which brought the legislation into force in 2018.聽CCTV, however,聽is not yet mandatory in聽Wales' abattoirs, although the Welsh Assembly last year introduced a funding package to help the medium and smaller sites with installation costs. So will Wales be following suit?
