Prosecutors considering bringing charges against former paratroopers over Bloody Sunday have been told that one of the them, referred to as Soldier N, has died. A solicitor for the soldier informed the Public Prosecution Service last week. Thirteen people were shot dead when members of the Parachute Regiment opened fire on civil rights demonstrators in Derry in 1972. A fourteenth person died later.
