Would you take off your hijab or turban to fit in? Student Mariam Khattab made the decision to take off her hijab because of the abuse she was facing. She tells Qasa Alom about the difference in reception that she has had since taking her hijab off. After that, Qasa hears from two motorbike enthusiasts Shirshendu Banerjee and Arvinder Singh who have made it to the top 5 finals of the Whicker Radio & Audio Funding Award in London with their 鈥楤iker Radio Podcast鈥�. Plus Qasa is joined by our weekly sports panel who discuss Alistair Cook鈥檚 retirement from International cricket, the controversy surrounding the Nike advert and Amir Khan鈥檚 upcoming fight against Samuel Vargas. Later Qasa will be hearing about a brand new play called 鈥楤eyond Shame鈥� in Derby which confronts forced marriages. The play was created by stories from survivors who work with the Karma Nirvana charity.
