A trial week down under sees the family check out the properties, work opportunities and lifestyle Auckland has to offer, before they vote on whether to change their lives for ever.

Goodwin-Barker family update
After the trial week, the family stayed in New Zealand for a few
more weeks and toured the North Island.聽 Alan fell in love with the
country even more, especially Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty, and he was keen
for the family to move there instead of Auckland as the house prices and
lifestyle were more favourable.聽
So within two weeks of arriving back in
the UK their house went up for sale and sold for full asking price within 16
hours of the marketing starting!聽 Also, within 2 months, Alan, Samantha and
Georgina had their residency visa's in their hand ready to go.聽
They are
now living with family, their belongings packed ready to be shipped, waiting
for Stef's degree to finish and her to graduate in May 2019. They fly out to
their new life in Tauranga on May 27th!聽 The plan was to take Dexter with
them, however, he sadly passed away in November 2018. 聽 聽聽
