Rusty and Steve
Paul Martin teaches people the tricks of the antiques trade. This episode features Steve Cuddy from Birmingham and Rusty Ashman from London.
Paul Martin meets two keen antiques enthusiasts who want to learn how to be dealers. They spend their own hard-earned cash at auction to buy items and sell on and to try and make themselves a profit. Under Paul's guidance they need to decide what is best to buy and what will sell easily, as they don't want to be stuck with anything. He isn't with them at auction so it's down to them to make the right decisions.
Once they have bought they need to work out where to sell and how best to maximise their profit - how do you find a buyer for a large, old leather bible or an unusual Victorian sampler? Will they regret their purchases?
Once their selling is complete they meet up again with Paul to see who has fared best and which of them has made the most profit - have they proved themselves real antique dealers?
Pitching against each other are Steve Cuddy from Birmingham and Rusty Ashman from London.
