William Roache picks the Tracks of My Years

William Roache, the actor best known for playing the role of Ken Barlow in Coronation Street, picks the Tracks of My Years. Plus Ken has another round of the PopMaster quiz.

William Roache, the actor best known for playing the role of Ken Barlow in Coronation Street, picks the Tracks of My Years with songs from Chubby Checker and The New Seekers. William is a television icon who was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the British Television Soap Awards in 2000. He's also the holder of a Guinness World Record for the world's longest-serving soap actor, having debuted as Ken Barlow in Coronation Street's first ever episode in 1960. In his latest book 'Life and Soul' William shares his philosophy for living a rich and rewarding life, giving an honest account of his greatest challenges. At the age of 86 he is still appearing regularly on TV and rebuffs any notion that age brings decline. William was also awarded the MBE for services to television drama and acting in 2001.

Ken also has the record and album of the week, the daily love song and another round of the PopMaster music quiz. If you want to contact the show, email - ken.bruce@bbc.co.uk.
