Mary Anne speaks to director Matt Tyrnauer about a new documentary about Studio 54.

The New York nightclub was founded in 1977 by Ian Schrager and Steve Rubell, with regulars including Andy Warhol, Mick Jagger, Debbie Harry, Grace Jones, Michael Jackson, Lou Reed and Freddie Mercury.

This morning, we find out about Tyrnauer's fascination with the role that the club's founders played in its glittering history (oh, and of course more about that night which actually involved four tons of glitter being poured into the venue for new Year's Eve...)

'Studio 54' the documentary had its world premiere at The Sundance Film Festival and was released in the UK on June 15, 2018.
