A Prince Special

Mary Anne speaks to Susan Rogers about her experiences of working as a sound engineer for Prince.

Mary Anne Hobbs hosts a Prince special on the week that would have been his 60th Birthday.

She is joined by Prince's sound engineer Susan Rogers, who worked on albums including Purple Rain, Around the World in a Day, Parade, Sign o' the Times and The Black Album.

A new album by Prince called 'PIANO & A MICROPHONE 1983' will be released posthumously on September 14, 2018.

We also hear from one of Mary Anne's artists, the American trumpet player Jon Hassell. His first album in 9 years 'Listening To Pictures (Pentimento Volume 1)' is out now.
