Anns an d脿rna streath a鈥 leantail Chaluim MhicIlleathain a鈥 sn脿mh ann an uisgeachan re貌ite ann an 脿rainneachd iomallach, ch矛thear e a鈥 tadhal air feadhainn dheth na h-脿iteachan 鈥榮 fhe脿rr leis - 脿itichean nach eil air an sanasachd agus a dh鈥檉heumas oidhirp air leth an ruighinn. Mar a chanas e fh猫in, 鈥溾橲 toigh leam a bhith sn脿mh a-muigh nam aonar, gun duine be貌 ri fhaicinn鈥. San t-sreath seo, tha Calum a鈥 snamh ann an diofar lochan aig 脿mannan gu math fuar agus geamhradail. Thagh e ochd 脿iteachan air feadh Alba far am bith e a鈥 snamh saor, nam measg Loch nan Doirb, Cuaraidh Rubislaw ann an Obair Dheathain, Eilean Arainn, Loch Mhisteam sna Hearadh agus ann an Linne Fhoirthe. Anns a鈥 phr貌gram-sa, air latha fuar geamhradail, tha Calum aig Loch Mh霉rlaig, ann am B脿ideanach agus Sr脿th Sp猫. Bha t貌rr sneachd agus deigh fhathast air an loch ach cha do chur sin a-riamh stad air Calum.
Calum MacLean shares his passion for swimming in remote lochs and rivers! There is nothing that Calum loves better than finding far-flung locations for outdoor swimming and in these programmes he reveals another eight of his favourite places throughout Scotland. His varied chosen settings are not often publicised and some can only be accessed after strenuous endeavours. As he states himself, 鈥淚 love to swim outdoors alone with no living person to be seen.鈥 The locations featured include Lochindorb, the Isle of Arran, and a swim across the Firth of Forth.
As always, he is keen to challenge himself and in this episode, on a cold frosty morning, Calum travels to Loch Morlich near Aviemore. He discovers that the loch is still covered in snow and iced over but Calum does not let that prevent him enjoying an invigorating swim.
