An hour of the best folk and acoustic music from Britain and beyond.
This week, one of Ireland's great folk performers, Finbar Furey, speaks about his life and his new album, Don't Stop This Now.
Born to Traveller parents, Finbar was raised in Ballyfermot, Dublin from the age of four. Music and storytelling were part of family life, and he and his brothers went on to form one of the great family bands: The Fureys.
In various incarnations, the brothers and musical accomplices including Davey Arthur took Irish music into venues and television studios around the world, alongside popular acts like The Dubliners, Planxty and The Chieftains.
Terry Wogan and John Peel were particular supporters, with songs like When You Were Sweet Sixteen, The Green Fields of France and Her Father Didn't Like Me Anyway scoring hits in the 70s and 80s.
Bono, Shane MacGowan and Imelda May are among fans to have celebrated Finbar's latest solo album, which features guest performances from people including his daughter, 脕ine Furey.
