Max is joined by the curator of folklorist Alan Lomax's archive, Nathan Salsburg. Nathan shares his current favourites from the archive's treasure trove of folk music recorded around the world.

Plus a trip to space in Judee Sill's Enchanted Sky Machines, a song she wrote about the spacecrafts she imagined would take all the deserving people away to escape the apocalypse. Or if you prefer a more glittery vessel, cosmic adventurer Sun Ra offers an alternative with his jubilant track Rocket Number 9 Takes Off For The Planet Venus.
