Angela Rippon, Gloria Hunniford and Julia Somerville look into whether products that claim to be sugar-free or have zero sugar are really as good as people might think.
Angela Rippon, Gloria Hunniford and Julia Somerville investigate more stories to do with food. They look into whether products that claim to be sugar-free or have zero sugar are really as virtuous as people might think. There is an unorthodox test to see if the chocolate bars sold in pound stores are the bargain they appear to be, and the team explores why some viewers are paying twice as much for their butter as they did 18 months ago.

Fanta Zero Orange: Coca-Cola Statement
There is 0.5g sugar per 100ml in Fanta Zero Orange. This is not added sugar, but naturally occurring sugar in the orange juice in the drink.
According to European regulations, a product can be labelled as ‘no sugar’ if it contains no more than 0.5g sugars per 100ml (Nutrition and health Claims Regulation 1924/2006), as is the case with Fanta Zero Sugar. In addition to the information required by law to ensure consumers are aware of what’s in a product, we also state on our packs of Fanta Zero Sugar that the product contains naturally occurring sugars.
