Verity Sharp

Late Junction shares experimental syllabic wordplay from Cyclopyscho, Tuvan multiphonic throat singing and a Japanese mouth organ.

This edition of Late Junction brings you two types of vocal word play. Firstly Cyclopyscho, the ongoing experiment of an American musician Ashley Shomo that plays with syllables and electronics; secondly a new album of clever lyrics and jazz-folk accompaniment from spoken word artist Alabaster dePlume.

Plus music from the Alash Ensemble who have brought traditional Tuvan multi-phonic throat singing from the nomadic culture of Central Asia to an international audience, and improvised Japanese mouth organ playing from musician and installation artist Sarah Peebles.
