This week Julian Joseph presents trumpeter Jay Phelps in concert with his quartet. Born in Vancouver, Phelps moved to London in his late teens and joined Tomorrow's Warriors before going on to be a founding member of Empirical. In this concert he plays music from his new album "Free As The Birds", composed following two years of travelling the world. Alongside Jay are Rick Simpson on piano, Ferg Ireland on bass and Will Glaser on drums.
