In tribute to Prof. Stephen Hawking, who died last week aged 76, there's another chance to hear聽our Science Caf茅 about his bestseller A Brief History of Time, first broadcast on the 25th anniversary of the book's publication.聽

A Brief History of Time was the first popular science book to become a blockbuster. First published in June 1988, it aimed to make accessible to everybody ideas about the origins of the universe, relativity, black holes and quantum physics. It also made its author one of the most famous and recognisable figures in the world.

Adam is joined by science writer Marcus Chown, Swansea University theoretical physicist Dr. Prem Kumar and astronomer Dr. Edward Gomez, Education Director for the Las Cumbres Observatory Global Telescope Network. They consider聽its role in pioneering popular science writing,聽how paved the way for a wider public understanding of 鈥榖ig physics鈥櫬燼nd its聽reputation as 鈥渢he least-read bestseller in history鈥.

The show begins with a tribute to Stephen Hawking from Chris Allton, Professor of Physics at Swansea University.
