19 Waterdale 鈥 The Garden of Surprises
The garden first opened for the NGS in 2011. Anne says being part of the Scheme is hugely enjoyable, although it can be quite exhausting.听 鈥淚t鈥檚 great fun sharing the garden with other people.听 They learn a lot and it鈥檚 a real pleasure giving new gardeners ideas about how to make a modestly sized town garden really interesting.听 One visitor commented that it was like a Tardis garden 鈥 bigger on the inside than the outside!鈥 In 2015, the garden was entered into the Daily Mail National Garden competition and won. Not surprisingly, since then, open days have become even more hectic.
