On International Women's Day, Susan Sarandon joins us to talk about Hedy Lamarr, an Austrian-born actress from the Golden Age of Hollywood who came up with the incredibly creative idea of frequency hopping.

You may not know much about this aspect of Hedy's career but you will benefit from her genius daily, because it led to the development of GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi!

Susan has helped bring this lesser known story to a wider audience, as a producer of the film Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story. it is directed by Alexandra Dean and features comments from her family, friends, industry figures and admirers including Diane Kruger and Mel Brooks.
