The extreme lengths that jockeys go to to lose weight. And revealing the skills needed to stay alive in the mountains.
Horse racing is one of the most dangerous sports, but jockeys say the toughest part of the job is the constant battle to keep their weight down. Inside Out looks at the extreme lengths riders will go to to lose weight. For many years, Shorefields School in Liverpool took their pupils on trips to the Sahara to expand their education. 23 years after the last trip, we catch up with the pupils whose lives were changed by their extraordinary travels to the desert. As mountain rescue teams in the Lake District deal with the highest number of incidents they have ever seen, we take to the snow-covered peaks to learn the skills to stay alive.
