'Even The Chips Turned Blue'

Sean presents requests, dedications and lots of good music to brighten the morning.

Joe's potatoes are turning blue when he boils them and he wants to know what type of spuds he should start buying instead. Sean was once sent to the shops by his wife to buy Kerrs Pinks but couldn't remember the name and came back with the Daily Mirror instead.

Ann in Carryduff used to knit nylon bags with big thick needles. Sean remembers his mother knitting and how she would give him a look if he talked to her while she was counting the stitches. Are knitting machines still used in houses? Decorator Dave remembers his mother using one while his father sat punching out the patterns on a card. Every jumper in the house (and many worn by Glentoran fans) came from that machine.

What was Mrs Mills' first name? Janet thinks she would be a Sarah. Peter, who is buying a new desk so he can play air piano, thinks it would be Stella. The best drummer in Crumlin is called Sammy Scott and he plays the oil drums.

Music from Johnny Nash, Mrs Mills, Elvis Presley, Cher, Jimmy Nail and more.
