A red warning is in place across central Scotland as the winter weather continues to bite and retailers Toys R Us and Maplin go into administration, putting 5,500 jobs at risk.
We talk to people caught up in the chaos as the winter weather continues to affect large parts of the country, particularly central Scotland where a red warning to take action to protect yourself and your property is in place - and seek advice about the best ways to cope. Elsewhere we look ahead to World Book Day on Thursday and ask what can be done to get the one third of children who never read a book to pick one up; we talk to the Uber driver who makes snap judgements about his passengers as he picks them up and chooses an appropriate playlist for them to avoid awkward conversations - and we ask how important it is for children to get used to disappointment after a head teacher writes to parents to say that if their children had missed out on free tickets to go and watch Rochdale playing Tottenham at Wembley tonight, they'd been given a valuable life lesson.
