Wales has seven Community Health Councils or CHCs which act as the eyes, ears and voice of the patient in health service matters.聽

Costing some 拢3.8m annually, they have faced criticism in recent years that they are not engaging with the public well enough.

The Welsh Government is proposing it instead creates a new 鈥淐itizens鈥� Voice鈥� body. It is expected to publish a report on the consultation for this shortly.

Kayley Thomas and guests ask how well is our voice heard when it comes to the NHS? And do policy makers really want our opinions if they don't line up with their plans?
