Twelve teams begin the year with dreams of grand final glory at Old Trafford, and the first week of the season brings together some of the competition's biggest clubs for a mouth-watering opening set of fixtures.
Round one sees the defending champions Leeds Rhinos visit Warrington Wolves. Leeds have won the grand final a record eight times, but Warrington are still looking for their first Super League title. The Wolves have a new coach and a host of new players, but can they hit the ground running against Super League's most successful club?
St Helens meet Castleford in a repeat of their epic Super League semi-final from last season. It took Golden Point extra time to separate the teams on that occasion, and another classic is on the cards as they meet again. Challenge Cup holders Hull FC open up against Huddersfield, Salford take on Wigan, Widnes play Catalans and newly promoted Hull Kingston Rovers start life back in Super League with a home game against Wakefield.
