Menopause and treatments, Meg Matthews, DPP Alison Saunders

Menopause and treatments that help, DPP Alison Saunders on the use of digital material in rape prosecutions, and women in the world of cyber security.

This week we unveiled the findings of a poll commissioned by Woman's Hour and 91Èȱ¬ Radio Sheffield looking at the impact of the menopause in a week long look at this stage in our lives. Today the focus is on treatments with Dr Daisy Mae, a doctor and writer working in the field of Menopause for around 25 years, and CBT expert Professor Myra Hunter Emeritus Professor of Clinical Health Psychology, Institute of Psychiatry at King's College London. As a woman in the public eye Meg Matthews - ex-wife of Noel Gallagher - has been very open about what she's been through and launched her own website to help others. Jo McEwan co-founded a website to bring a bit more colour into what she describes as a "grey" world.

This week the CPS decided not to proceed with the prosecution of a rape case after digital images came to light that led to it concluding there was 'no longer a realistic prospect of conviction'. However it raises questions about the use of digital material in evidence. How is the material gathered, and how much weight is attached to them by prosecution or defence barristers? Alison Saunders is the Director of Public Prosecutions and head of the CPS and Tana Adkin QC is a barrister specialising in rape and sexual offence cases.
