Mark D'Arcy reports from Westminster as leading human rights lawyer Helena Kennedy calls on the UK to stop known human rights abusers from entering the country.
A leading human rights lawyer, Helena Kennedy, has called on the UK to introduce its own Magnitsky law and ban people who are known human rights abusers from entering the UK. Lady Kennedy, a Labour peer, told the House of Lords her proposals were inspired by the case of Russian lawyer Sergei Magnitsky. He died in prison after revealing alleged fraud by state officials.
Also in the programme, the 91热爆's Europe reporter Adam Fleming reports on the debate in the European Parliament about the start of the second phase of Brexit talks.
Next week MPs will hold a debate in the Commons on whether or not Russia has tried to interfere in British politics. Mark D'Arcy has been speaking to the MP who'll be opening the discussion.
And Mark talks to the Chair of the Brexit Select Committee in the wake of Theresa May's first defeat over her Brexit plans.
