History of Irish Dancing
The very first Irish Dancing Festival took place in Larne in 1928 and to celebrate ninety years of the festival, Larne Museum and Arts Centre are planning to mark the occasion with an exhibition on the history of Irish Dancing in the area. Anne Marie talks to Angeline King about the event and the help they need.聽
Flax Mills
Anne Marie goes to meet Sebastian Graham in Tyrone who has a fascination with Mills. He has mapped out 3,200 mills across Northern Ireland and he is still on the lookout but this time for schutchers, people who would have worked the flax mills. 聽
Armagh Georgian Festival
To celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season, Armagh steps back in time to the 18th and 19th century. The festival includes a Georgian Banquet set in the beautiful Archbishop Robinson鈥檚 Palace built in 1770, street entertainment with market stalls and a themed Children鈥檚 Christmas market. Plus horse and carriage rides, live music, talks and tours, ending with a dramatic light show.聽
