Episode 5 of 12

A look back at stories from the 91Èȱ¬ Gaelic current affairs series, including domestic violence in the Western Isles and computing being introduced into the school curriculum.

Bho mheadhan nan 80an bha am prògram telebhisein Prosbaig a' sgrùdadh chùisean na Gàidhealtachd 's nan Eilean, agus Alba san fharsaingeachd. Tron t-sreath seo, tha am fear-naidheachd Dòmhnall Moireasdan a' toirt sùil air ais tron tasglann agus a' toirt thugainn taghadh de na sgeulachdan a chaidh a chraoladh eadar 1984 agus 1988. Anns a' phrògram seo: dealbh air dochann san dachaigh anns na h-eileanan aig an àm; mar a bha teicneòlas is coimpiutaireachd a' tòiseachadh anns na sgoiltean; agus sealladh air Colaiste Bhlairs ann an Obar Dheathain goirid mus do dhùin i ann an 1986.

From the mid 1980s, Gaelic current affairs television series Prosbaig covered many of the main stories making headlines in the Highlands and Islands and throughout Scotland.

In this series, journalist Donald Morrison takes a look back through the archive and brings us some of the key stories from 1984 to 1988.

In this programme: a look at the issue of domestic violence in the Western Isles; computing being introduced into the school curriculum; and an insight into life in Blairs College in Aberdeen, a training school for students considering a calling to the priesthood, shortly before it closed in 1986.
