Wednesday - Radio France Philharmonic

Penny Gore presents the Radio France Philharmonic in Haydn's 'Drumroll' Symphony No 103 and Mozart's Piano Concerto No 23.

Penny Gore presents the Radio France Philharmonic in a series of concerts and recordings. Today's 2pm concert features the orchestra with conductor Roger Norrington. Haydn Symphony No.103 caused great surprise with its unorthodox drumroll start, and today's Mozart piano concerto, No.23 in A, K.488, is performed by Japanese pianist Momo Kodama, who studied at the Paris Conservatoire. Plus the Radio France choir perform rare French choral music by Daniel-Lesur and Florent Schmitt.
