It was hailed as a flagship speech on Brexit, Theresa May set out what she called a two year "implementation period" to smooth the Brexit process after the UK's official exit in 2019. The Prime Minister also promised to honour the country's commitments to the EU's budget period, which lasts until 2020.

The minicab app Uber has been told it will lose its right to operate in London. Transport for London says it will not renew the company's licence after the end of this month because of a number of failings linked to passenger safety. Uber has 21 days to appeal.

An investigation for 5live's State, the number of workers taking long term leave for anxiety, depression, stress and other mental health conditions has gone up by nearly a quarter in the last 5 years.
