Housing minister Alok Sharma visibly emotional over Grenfell Tower

An update of the day's news. All visible human remains have now been removed from Grenfell Tower.

Police say all visible human remains have now been removed from Grenfell Tower, three weeks after the building was destroyed in a fire. They say they've made a total of 87 recoveries - but have stressed that because of catastrophic damage, that doesn't necessarily mean 87 people. Earlier, the government announced a specialist team is to take over parts of Kensington and Chelsea Council, which had been heavily criticised for its handling of the disaster.
