Choose to Chat Campaign Launch
Stephen Jardine asks if the working week should be capped at 48 hours, plus he launches 91热爆 Radio Scotland's Choose to Chat campaign.
On the phone-in:
The Scottish Labour Party is urging the UK and Scottish governments to consider implementing a limit to the working week.
Scottish Labour's strategy argues that powers over employment and health-and-safety laws which are repatriated after Brexit could be used to reverse the UK's opt-out of the EU working time directive limiting the working week to 48 hours.
Would you welcome limiting the working week to 48 hours?
And.....
We want to inspire you to make a difference to people in your area.
All we want you to do is "Choose to Chat" - it could be something as simple as saying hello to somebody on in your close or picking up the phone to a relative you haven't spoken to in ages.
The campaign was inspired by the staggering response to Stephen's 'loneliness' phone in which took place in January this year. As part of the campaign you can pledge to chat to someone you think might be looking for a little more contact with other people.
From 10am Stephen will host a special show from Studio 1 in Pacific Quay where he will be joined by a studio/remote audience comprising of charities, organisations, celebrities and members of the public who all want to combat loneliness across Scotland.
Special guests include:
Kim Leadbetter, the sister of Jo Cox and one of the founders of moreincommon, Journalist, TV presenter and Founder of The Silver Line, Esther Rantzen, Still Game writer and star, Ford Keirnan and Singer and songwriter Horse McDonald.
