Frank Renton with Samantha Harrison and The Elland Silver Youth Band's European adventure.
The Elland Silver Youth band is widely regarded as one of the best in the UK. Formed in 1995 following an advertisement in the local press for young children, they are currently celebrating victory in the Development Section at the recent European Championships. Frank Renton catches up with the person who is the inspiration behind the band and recent recipient of the Mortimer Medal in recognition of her outstanding services to the teaching of young people in the brass band, conductor Samantha Harrison.
