Tax officials staged raids at Newcastle United and West Ham today, resulting in the arrest of the Toon's managing director. Lee Charnley was later released without charge.

Tax officials staged raids at Newcastle United and West Ham today, resulting in the arrest of the Toon's managing director. Lee Charnley was later released without charge by HM Revenue and Customs but only after computers, documents and mobile phones were seized from both clubs.
Tax officials also visited Stamford Bridge today, but unlike the other raids, nothing was seized from Chelsea who offered full co-operation with requests for specific information.
