Working away every week had dad Simon exhausted and put a strain on his relationship with his wife. She thought Australia could give the family a new lease of life.
Life was hard for the Holroyds in 2015. Dad Simon's working week started at 2.45am on Monday and didn't finish until after 8.00pm on Friday. When he was at home, he was too exhausted to spend any quality time with his family. It was driving loving wife Helen to tears and threatened to tear the family apart.
Desperate for change, Helen believed a fresh start in Australia could be the solution. But leaving the UK would mean Helen having to say goodbye to her mum, the one person who was always there for her at home.
When the family experienced a trial week in Australia, everyone agreed their future would be brighter down under. But one year on, where do the Holroyds now call home?

Holroyd Family Update
When we last caught up with Simon, Helen and the kids, they were loving life in Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast.聽 They鈥檝e had a few ups and downs, but are settling in well. Simon got a full time job within two weeks of arriving in Oz - doing the same site construction work he had in the UK. Now he is home every day by 3pm to pick the kids up with Helen.聽 He has even got his own work uniform and pick-up 鈥榰te鈥� already!聽
The family have met lots of lovely people and the kids are both in school and doing well.聽 Julie plans to look for a job soon, but has enjoyed being at home with the kids for the summer holidays.
The family do miss friends and family back home - a recent visit from Helen鈥檚 mum helped!
