In this journey through time, Len Goodman takes legendary actress Pam St Clement back to Dartmoor in Devon to relive the holiday that really did change her life back in 1953!
Straight away, Len surprises Pam by picking her up in a pristine vintage Morris, just like the one he would have picked up from the station in all those years ago. Pam tells Len about the journey from her boarding school to Dartmoor and how she was alone on the journey. She was collected by a couple of ladies who would become a very important part of Pam's life. It's clear from the outset that this will be a very emotional Holiday of My Lifetime.
Len continues his surprises by taking Pam back to the very farm that she went to back in 1953. She visits the room she stayed in and they make up homemade flapjack just like her adopted aunt Courty would have done - and they're perfect. Here Pam explains how the owners of the farm, Courty and Sylvia, took her under their wings and became her extended family - this almost became home.
They also visit the local community hall for a bit of a dance and even try their hands at clay pigeon shooting! Along the way, we get an insight into Pam's long and hugely successful acting career, from starting out on shows like Onedin Line to her most famous and celebrated role as Pat Butcher in the 91热爆 soap EastEnders, alongside other legends Mike Reid and Barbara Windsor. We also learn why this trip down to Dartmoor really did transform Pam into the wonderful person she is today.
