Young Brass Award - music and conversation from the semi-final

Eight talented musicians play for a place in the final with Frank Renton and Clare Freeman.

The search for the next brass star reaches the semi-final stage as 8 talented musicians play for a place in the final alongside the world famous Foden's Band with conductor Michael Fowles. In this special programme Frank Renton presents all the music highlights as Clare Freeman talks to the young performers about their preparation for the Award and their dreams and career aspiration as they try and impress judges international Euphonium star David Childs and Helen Vollam principal trombone of the 91热爆 Symphony Orchestra. The 4 selected for the live final at The Royal Northern College of Music in April will be revealed at the end of the programme.
