The acting US attorney general Sally Yates has told Justice Department lawyers not to defend President Trump's travel ban because she is not sure it is legal.

The acting US Attorney General, Sally Yates, has told Justice Department lawyers not to defend President Trump's executive order on travel restrictions in court. In a letter she said she was not convinced it was lawful.
