Families consider relocating down under. Can Dave convince wife Becky to start a brand new life in Australia, where most of his extended family live?

For as long as he can remember, Dave has wanted to make Australia his home. With most of his extended family already living there, he is more desperate than ever to make the move. But, having failed to sell the country to wife Becky on a visit ten years ago, getting the life he wants is proving easier said than done.

For Becky the situation is complicated, because while moving would put Dave closer to his family, it would also mean cutting close ties to hers in the UK. Torn at the prospect of taking son Charlie away from his granny, she also worries about who would look after her mum if she was on the other side of the world.

A trial week in Perth provides Dave and Becky with the opportunity to explore what their life could look like down under. But after years of discussion and debate, will it be enough to see them agree on which side of the globe their future really lies?

Vickerstaff family update

When we last caught up with the Vickerstaffs they told us they are still living in the UK.

However the trial week did confirm Perth would be their preferred location if they were ever to make the move.

Since filming, Charlie has started year one at school and is really thriving and making friends which has made any decision to move even harder.

The family haven't ruled out a move, but found that once back to reality, some of those easy decisions made in the sun have become a lot harder now they are back home.
