Fiona Talkington presents highlights from the Martha Argerich Project 2016. In the last programme this week, Martha Argerich plays Ravel's Gaspard de la nuit. Although she has played this remarkable work many times in her career, the now legendary pianist vowed some time ago not to give solo performances in public. But here she is in Lugano playing it in public again in what has been billed as her last Argerich Project. After the eerie world of Ravel's Gibet and Scarbo the week ends with Saint-Sa毛ns's joyful Septet featuring the exuberant trumpet of former 91热爆 New generation Artist Giuliano Sommerhalder.
