Donnie Mackay investigates the extreme flooding experienced across Scotland and discovers what measures the fair city of Perth has put in place to tame the River Tay. Later he joins long-distance lorry driver Murdo John Mackay as crosses Scotland in all weathers, and shares his memory of dreadful blizzard conditions on Arran.
It's CalMac handyman Alasdair MacIver's last day after 28 years on the job, and Donnie's with him as he says farewell to a life at sea.
Over in South Uist SSEN engineers Neil MacCormick and Matthew MacDonald are making a special delivery. When the power goes down, kidney transplant patient Tam relies on a generator to keep him alive, and so the boys make sure he has one installed before the worst weather hits.
