More about the programme:

On the annual All Things Considered film review programme, we have a self-taught mathematical genius whose work has transformed the way scientists explain the world; a group of journalists who uncover one of the biggest scandals ever to rock the Catholic Church; and an insight into the dilemmas of those who operate military drones…and the effects of their decisions.

This year’s box office hits don't make it on to our list if they're not yet available for armchair entertainment - but there are plenty more to choose from.   We have three main selections, and our guests have brought recommendations of their own as well.

Roy Jenkins is joined by Dr Peter Francis, an Anglican priest and warden of Gladstone’s Library at Hawarden, which regularly runs courses on contemporary film and theology; Dr Rosa Hunt, who is pastor of Salem Baptist Church, Tonteg near Pontypridd and Julia Houlston-Clark, who’ is a Catholic, a former prison chaplain, and now Chief Executive of Wales Restorative Approaches Partnership.

The films discussed:
The Man who Knew Infinity Cert 12
Spotlight, cert 12
Eye in the Sky Cert 15

Our guests’ choices:
Notes on Blindness Cert U
The Measure of a Man Cert PG
Suffragette Cert 12
