Debuting as a member of the Rishi Rich Project in 2002 , Jay quickly tasted success in the charts with hits like 'Dance with You', 'Eyes On You' and 'Stolen'. Initially signed by Virgin Records, Jay then signed with US label Cash Money Records making him the first male British Asian singer to sign with an American label.

In this programme Jay travels down memory lane and talks about his childhood in West London, his parents textile factory and his grandfather's huge influence on his life.
