Prime Minister Theresa May is determined to stop "vexatious" legal claims against British troops who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. But others say our armed forces need to face the consequences, if they are guilty of serious misconduct. Should British troops have immunity from prosecution?
Former Government Minister Baroness Warsi has suggested that Islam could become more English - in the design of mosques for example. Meanwhile, two major police forces say they're open to the idea of Muslim women officers wearing traditional burkas as part of their uniform. So should society be more accommodating to Islamic traditions or should Muslims blend in more with British culture? We debate - Should Islam be more British?
A report by a think tank this week says that young families are being "ghettoised" in inner city areas by the housing crisis and there is a "two-tier society" in which young adults struggle to get on the property ladder. Work and Pensions Secretary Damian Green has denied that the government is being too generous to pensioners, but said that "inter-generational fairness" is an area that needs to be examined. Are the young being disadvantaged by the older generation?听
