A new drug for dairy cattle has been taken off the shelves after cows die in Denmark. Sybil Ruscoe hears why Velactis, manufactured by Ceva, has been suspended across the EU. Giles Davis, Head of Legislation at the Veterinary Medicines Directorate explains how new drugs are trialled and monitored.

Also young farmers - government figures show that a third of the UK's farming business owners are over the age of 65 and only 3 per cent are under 35 - and that those numbers haven't changed for a decade.
