The EIFF 2016 has begun and Edi Stark discusses the opening film, Tommy's Honour

Edi Stark sits in for Janice Forsyth and discusses Tommy's Honour, the opening film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, plus she hears from the film's star, Peter Mullan.

It's film review day and, first up, as The Edinburgh Film Festival began last night - we discuss the opening film, Tommy's Honour and hear from the star of the film, Peter Mullan!

We'll also discuss The Fundamentals of Caring, a charming, dark comedy which launches on Netflix on 24th June and Premieres at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on the 16th of June. The film stars Paul Rudd, Selena Gomez and Craig Roberts and is directed by Rob Burnett, who will tell us all about it!

Regular critics Siobhan Synnot and Ross MacLean will be discussing their picks from the EIFF 2016 programme and giving us the inside track on everything that been happening movie-wise in the Capital. They will also share their thoughts on this week's other big cinematic releases including Tale of Tales - a luminous, loose adaptation of Giambattista Basile's 17th-century fairy tale compilation by Matteo Garrone; and the brilliant, Scottish Actress Shirley Henderson will tell us all about her role in the film. Scottish cult-pop raconteur Aidan Moffat and award-winning film-maker Paul Fegan will be on hand too, discussing their 'funny wee film about music and death,' 'Where You're Meant To Be' - a journey through music, place and time!

All that and Actor Patrick Wilson, who will be discussing his role in the much anticipated 'supernatural thriller' The Conjuring 2, which is out in cinemas, up and down the country, from Friday.

Don't Miss it!
