Volunteers Dee Kaur, Zunaira Malik and Mala Mohindru join the Fab Women Humanitarian panel to talk about their work on the frontline in providing emergency relief aid. Dee Kaur, a student from Leeds University, works in refugee camps based in Greece and northern France after setting up her charity the 'Take My Hand Foundation'. Twenty-year old National Trust worker and Islamic Relief campaigner, Zunaira Malik describes how she focuses on ways to create better understanding around climate change and what 'ethical living' actually means whilst Khalsa Aid volunteer Mala Mohindru tells Noreen, the panel and listeners what it's like to work at night on the Greek beaches waiting to help refugees and their families who arrive in rubber dinghies. The ladies describe why they are drawn to relief work and what it takes to bring hope and practical help to young people and children escaping war and environmental disaster.
