The 2016 showpiece is a repeat of the 1990 final - a match in which current Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew was playing. A replay was needed to separate the sides on that occasion, with United eventually triumphing 1-0 after the original tie was drawn 3-3.
While Pardew and Palace will be looking for their revenge, United also won't be short of motivation. Manager Louis van Gaal has spent much of this season with question marks over his future at Old Trafford, while the Reds have not won a major title since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013.
