Taking place for the first time on a Friday night, the annual event sees athletes sprint on a 200m temporary track on Deansgate, with long jump and pole vault competitions in nearby historic Albert Square.
Athletes competing on the track include Daphne Schippers in the women's 100m, Richard Kilty and Chijindu Ujah in the men's 100m and Jonnie Peacock and Felix Streng in the T44 100m. Over hurdles, Tiffany Porter, Ryan Wilson and LJ Van Zyl are some of the names racing in the 100mh, 110mh and 200mh respectively.
In Albert Square, reigning Olympic and world champion Greg Rutherford competes in the long jump, while Britain's Sally Peake contests the women's pole vault.
Providing expert analysis and competition alongside Jonathan Edwards are Colin Jackson and Denise Lewis, with Phil Jones reporting from trackside. Commentary comes from Steve Cram and Andrew Cotter.
