David Hepworth
Music journalist and writer David Hepworth talks to Simon about his new book 1971 - Never a Dull Moment: Rock's Golden Year.
Music journalist and writer David Hepworth is live in the studio to talk about his new book '1971 - Never A Dull Moment: Rock's Golden Year', which does exactly what it says on the tin.
In the book Hepworth argues his case, with examples like; Carole King playing London's Hyde Park, performing her signature album 'Tapestry' in its entirety, an album that "redefined the record business for the next decade". Hepworth goes on to say there were "more influential albums than any year before or since" and remains "the most febrile and creative time in the history of popular music". The book has had rave reviews so he must be on to something...
Also the usual sport, travel and banging tunes to get you home.
