Screenwriter Peter Bowker joins Shaun to chat about 91热爆 1's The A Word, a new 6 Part drama for 91热爆 1. The drama stars Christopher Eccleston, Lee Ingleby, Morven Christie, Greg McHugh and Vinette Robinson and was written written for 91热爆 One by BAFTA-winning Peter Bowker who has previously written Marvellous, Occupation and Blackpool. The series is the story of the Hughes family, who work and love and fight like every other family. Then their youngest son is diagnosed with autism and they don't feel like every other family anymore. They realise that if their son is ever going to communicate, they are going to have to learn how to communicate themselves. It's a funny and thought-provoking series about parenthood and childhood.

Peter is a British playwright who is best known for the television serials Blackpool (2004), a musical drama about a shady casino owner; Occupation (2009), which follows three military servicemen adjusting to civilian life after a tour of duty in Iraq; and Desperate Romantics (2009), a biographical drama about the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. He chats with Shaun about The A Word and Eric and Ernie - a 2011 television film produced by 91热爆 Wales on the early career of the British comic double-act Morecambe and Wise.
