Jean-Jacques Burnel

Johnnie Walker hears the 70s memories of Jean-Jacques Burnel from the Stranglers.

Johnnie Walker hears the seventies memories of Jean-Jacques Burnel.

Best known as bass guitarist for the The Stranglers, Jean-Jacques helped form the group in 1974 at the age of 22. The group became associated with the punk movement and spent the later part of the seventies opening for American acts like Patti Smith and The Ramones as well as enjoying chart success with songs like "No More Heroes". Jean-Jacques shares his memories of the decade and picks some of his favourite songs from the time.

Also on the show, Johnnie digs out some of the best of the 91热爆 archive, and another listener helps to add a classic seven-inch single into Johnnie's Jukebox.
